Goal: Funds raised through this event directly support the lifesaving programs of the Kokomo Humane Society, including:
- Essential veterinary care
- Vaccinations
- Spay/neuter surgeries
- Microchipping
- Medical treatment for injured and sick animals
- Daily care and housing for homeless animals
- Field reunification efforts
- Community pet assistance programs
- Free and low-cost vaccine clinics to the community
- Shelter animals enrichment and behavioral support
Dog Days of Summer, A Brand-New Experience!
Dog Days of Summer is back, but this year, we’re changing everything!
If you’ve attended our Dog Days of Summer events in the past, get ready for a completely reimagined experience. Rather than our traditional festival-style event at the Kokomo Humane Society featuring vendors, games, and activities throughout the shelter grounds, we’re creating a more relaxed and elevated evening focused on community, connection, and supporting homeless animals.
Join us on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Sun King Kokomo for a summer celebration unlike any we’ve hosted before.
Spend the evening enjoying delicious food from Oscar’s Pizza and Sute Korean Indiana, refreshing Sun King beverages, a silent auction filled with incredible items, and the opportunity to meet some of our adorable adoptable dogs. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or attending for the first time, this event offers a fun and meaningful way to support the animals who depend on the Kokomo Humane Society.
Most importantly, every dollar raised will help provide shelter, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for homeless pets in our community. Your attendance directly supports our lifesaving mission and helps ensure that more animals find the loving homes they deserve.
