Annual Events
The Kokomo Humane Society has two major annual fundraisers. All proceeds from our fundraisers are used to provide medical assistance to shelter animals in need, promote adoptions and enrich the lives of animals in the shelter. 
1. Ales for Tails Ales for Tails is our summer annual fundraiser and it has grown over the past years. It has gotten so popular that we had to change venues in order to accommodate the four hundred attendees.This event is a wonderful night of food and beer sampling, a huge silent auction and a selective
live auction.
2. Barktober Fest 5K & Dog Walking Fundraising
Barktober Fest is our Fall fundraiser and is held at Foster Park, which has a lovely walking route for dogs and their people. The event day promises fun for everyone, with contests, lots of vendors and of course a walk to raise funds to assist Howard County’s animals in need.
Special Events
Special events often come in the form of Adoption Events, a major part of our mission is Uniting pets with families. Through our use of lower cost spay and neuter options we are able to offer reduced adoption fees multiple times throughout the year. We have also hosted microchip events in order to make it possible for people to safe guard their pets if they should get lost. People can be aware of these opportunities to add a new family member at a reduce adoption fee by checking our website regularly and becoming a friend on Facebook.
